According to Frost & Sullivan, value-based healthcare will be the global focus for 2019. The research firm foresees prime growth opportunities in digital health and health IT, a reality check for AI and blockchain, and a shakeup of reimbursement plans.

By the end of 2019, 15 percent of global healthcare spending will be tied to value/outcome-based care concepts,” says Kamaljit Behera, Frost & Sullivan’s industry analyst, transformational healthcare, in the November presentation 2019 Healthcare Predictions — Growth Opportunities, Technology, and Trends. The most activity will be in developing markets, but even emerging regions will adapt evidence-based best practices to local needs.
