United BioSource Corporation (UBC) today announced that Dr. Gretchen Dieck has joined the company as Vice President, Safety, Epidemiology & Risk Management. Dr. Dieck is UBC’s latest addition to their roster of biopharmaceutical safety experts. Dr. Dieck joins UBC from Pfizer Inc, where she held positions of increasing responsibility for the last 23 years. Most recently, Dr. Dieck was Pfizer’s senior executive responsible for safety and risk management for the company’s entire portfolio of biopharmaceuticals. In her most recent role as Pfizer’s Senior Vice President, Safety & Risk Management, Dr. Dieck led the organization’s product safety functions, including pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology, risk management, and project management for all biopharmaceuticals beginning in first-in-human research through the entire product lifecycle. Dr. Dieck received her M. Phil and Ph.D. from Yale University where she also held a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Epidemiology. She is a member of the American College of Epidemiology, the Society for Epidemiologic Research, the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology, and the American Public Health Association. Dr. Dieck is a Founding Member of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology and served as an Assistant Adjunct Professor of Public Health at Columbia University’s School of Public Health.
