Evansville general manager John Devine Jr., BS, DABT, has been promoted to vice president of non-clinical services.
Devine has been with BASi for more than 20 years. For the past four years Devine has been responsible for overseeing the Evansville facility with a staff of 80 technicians, study directors and administrative personnel. He started at the facility as a lab technician while studying at the University of Southern Indiana. Devine is a diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology and is known for his research and expertise in the industry.
"John has successfully developed the toxicology service in Evansville, consistently growing the business each year," said BASi president and CEO Anthony S. Chilton Ph.D. "In addition to being responsible for the toxicology business, John will be responsible for the development of the in vivo discovery service business." Those services are being expanded and relocated in 2012 to BASi West Lafayette in the Purdue Research Park of West Lafayette.
Assistant manager and director of analytical services, Phillip Downing, has been named the new general manager of BASi Evansville.
