As any regular reader of Life Science Leader knows, minorities and women have been underrepresented in clinical trials for years. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this disparity has been especially evident with African Americans and Latinos.
As a female Hispanic chief medical officer, I am passionate about this topic both personally and professionally. But encouraging patients of all races and genders to enroll in clinical trials has been a challenge for years. So, what can be done?
