French Bioclusters Refocus Collaboration Efforts

France has a strong background in medical and pharmaceutical science and a long history in healthcare. “France is a hot spot in Europe, and we are proud of our results,” said Florence Agostino-Etchetto, managing director, Lyonbiopôle, the health competitiveness cluster based around Lyon.
The French health innovation industry is a growing one. While companies are spread across the country as a whole, around a third are in Paris and Île-de-France, with Lyon and the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes the next-largest region. Bretagne and the Pays de la Loire are also rapidly expanding areas.
