Let Us Give Thanks

In the 11 years I have served as chief editor of Life Science Leader, we’ve witnessed some remarkable innovations in life sciences. For example, we’ve seen the development of therapeutics that have given the gift of sight. We’ve seen the invention of technologies that have enabled some to hear — for the very first time. And we’ve observed significant technological advancements in artificial limbs. In just one decade, there have been literally hundreds of therapeutics developed to improve the human condition. And though we’ve marveled at the speed with which Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, and others were able to bring safe vaccines for COVID-19 to the marketplace, each of their successes was decades in the making.
