Takeda's Mission To Improve Communication With Patients, Sites, And CROs

Karen Correa’s work in the clinical space began in 1993 as a clinical research study coordinator. Since then, she has worked at large CROs, small biotechs, and Big Pharmas, and in 2020 she accepted the position of VP, head of global clinical operations for Takeda.

Correa was empowered to continue and enhance Takeda as a better partner for its patients, sites, and CROs. “Across the industry, we hear a lot about being a ‘sponsor of choice,’” she explains. “I wanted to be sure this effort was authentic and not just for show; I wanted to make sure it meant making a real difference for all our partners.”
