By Samantha Jakuboski, Christopher Fay, Nicole R. LeBoeuf, and Cecilia A. Larocca

Explore how the partnerships between cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) patients, physicians, and researchers are enabling advancements in how we diagnose and manage this life-threatening disease. Using advanced technologies, such as high-throughput sequencing (HTS) of T-cell receptors (TCRs), clinicians are able to distinguish CTCL from clinical mimics and provide the exact TCR sequence of each T-cell. The research being done in this area is also helping to advance personalized medicine for cancer treatments. This article focuses on understanding how collaboration over TCR research could lead to change in and beyond the field of CTCL.
