Building A Biotech: The Third Key Ingredient Beyond Innovation & Funding

During my professional journey I’ve held leadership positions in high-pressured, capital markets-dependent biotech organizations across a wide range of disciplines spanning research, development, manufacturing, commercialization, and all general and administrative functions. Based on my experience, I would argue that if biotech organizations, at the R&D stage in particular, cannot successfully manage their communications practices, they are much more likely to fail regardless of the merits of their innovative technology or ability to secure funding. The highest level of cross-functional communication is the most vital lifeblood in steering a company from discovery to clinical stage.
