The concept of company culture can be ambiguous. In some companies, the only evidence of culture is a list of values posted to the website. In others, the culture is tangible and consistent from leadership to associates. Throughout my career in life sciences, I have actively observed the impact of company culture — how it can contribute to overall success and how a lack of distinct values can lead to failure. I believe that my recognition of the role company culture plays in shaping an organization has contributed to my success as my career advanced into leadership roles.
