As president and CEO of Silence for a little over a year now, I am often asked what drew me to being a CEO and how I navigated the transition to that role at Silence. I’ve thought about this topic myself, because I have been CEO on three other occasions, and I’ve seen many different people with different backgrounds become CEOs. How does a person move into that role, given the variety of past experiences they might have? What does it take to succeed as a CEO?
