“I don’t like the term Big Data,”confides Ameet Nathwani, M.D.

That seems odd. After all, Nathwani left Novartis to join Sanofias its EVP of medical function, and one of his primary tasks is helping his new employer become a data-driven medical organization. “The term Big Data was used about a decade ago, and the word big doesn’t do it justice,” he clarifies. “The datasets we are working with today are absolutely ginormous.”
