Triangle medtechs earn spots in prestigious MTI Accelerator Cohort

Two Triangle-based startups are among the top 4% of global applicants selected for the MedTech Innovator 2026 Accelerator Cohort, a signal of North Carolina’s growing strength in medical technology. SonoVascular is advancing a catheter-based approach to treating blood clots, while OsteoCure Therapeutics is developing adenosine-based therapies aimed at reversing bone loss and improving orthopedic recovery. Their selection builds on a steady pipeline of North Carolina medtech companies gaining national recognition through MTI, including SutureTech, a 2025 finalist that earned nondilutive funding and sharpened its commercialization strategy through the program. With more than 160 medical device and diagnostics companies operating in the state, North Carolina continues to show how clinical expertise, research institutions, product development talent and early-stage capital can help medtech innovators move from concept toward market success.
