Occasionally I get a business book sent to me that I feel has some "golden  nuggets" I feel compelled to share with the Life Science Leader audience. While "The Top 10 Distinctions Between Winners and Whiners" isn't a heady read nor a lengthy one (only 93 pages), it still has some of those common sense gems I think we all tend to forget in our busy lives. I won't give you all 10 of the points author Keith Cameron Smith identifies in the book, but here are two of my favorites:

"Winners listen twice as much as they talk; whiners talk twice as much as they listen"
"Winners find a way; whiners find an excuse"

This book is a quick read and isn't going to teach you some new business strategy. Instead, like Cameron Smith says, "The purpose of this book is to inspire you to believe and encourage you to take action."

Not a bad goal.
