Cryopak Obtains Certification For ISTA 7E Standard For Design/Qual. Of Insulated Shipping Containers
Cryopak announces their new certification for the ISTA 7E Standard for Design and Qualification of Insulated Shipping Containers (ISC).
The purpose of the standard is to define the procedure and minimum requirements to design and qualify insulated shipping containers (ISCs) used for the transport and distribution of temperature sensitive products such as drugs and other materials.
Jason Heberle, Cold Chain Development Engineer at Cryopak has recently completed his CTP level one and level two certifications. "Completion of level one and level two are the minimal requirements for lab certification," Heberle said.
Cryopak's lab technician, Jose Alvarez, has also completed level one of the CTP certification.
"This certification gives Cryopak the ability to certify packaging to the 7E standard. Other labs can run the test but, unless you're lab is certified, they can't certify packaging and receive accreditation on packaging", Heberle said.
Cryopak is one of only 6 labs in the world to have obtained this certification.
