Global Glass Manufacturer To Build $371M Plant, Create 400 Jobs In Wilson

SCHOTT Pharma USA, Inc., a subsidiary of the global specialty glass manufacturer, SCHOTT Pharma AG, plans to invest $371 million to build a new production facility in Wilson, North Carolina over the next five years. This facility would create 401 jobs and produce glass pre-fillable syringes and cartridges for biopharma companies. This will be SCHOTT Pharma's first facility in the US to manufacture high-performance, pre-fillable polymer syringes, adding to the nation's limited supply of these syringes. The facility is expected to be operational in three years.
