How To Improve The Provider Selection/Qualification Process

Outsourcing in clinical trials has played an important role in assisting sponsors to achieve their goals, particularly as the scope of and requirements for clinical trials have broadened. Although the clinical development spend on outsourcing seems to have plateaued relative to the overall spend by sponsors (61 percent in 2017 compared with 69 percent the previous year), the absolute spend in outsourcing continues to increase with the overall growth in R&D spend in the pharmaceutical industry (7 to 8 percent CAGR). With this continued commitment to outsourcing and strategic partnerships comes a need to improve our working relationships.
