In a time when the sentiment “science is real” can spark passionate debate, one thing is for sure — a company’s corporate narrative should be clear and undebatable due to one essential fact: market value depends upon it.
Market value in biotech isn’t only dependent upon great science, however. A compelling narrative that frames the asset, science, and data within the context of the overall healthcare ecosystem and ultimately, the marketplace — including for patients — is also needed. That requires creating a corporate strategy that prioritizes the development of a compelling narrative that will expand the company’s perceived value, reveal new opportunities, and protect the company’s reputation.
