The Overdue Healthcare Overhaul: Will An Evolution Or Revolution Better Serve Patients?

After a hiatus of two years, I made a pilgrimage to the annual JP Morgan Healthcare Conference (JPM) in San Francisco. Being in the midst of Big Pharma, biotech, payer, provider, and pharmacy executives with VCs and investors, scientists, consultants, med tech innovators, and past and present government administrators reinforced the conviction that we have all the ingredients to make affordable healthcare accessible to many more, if not all. But grey skies, January rain, and damp San Francisco also served to underscore how much our ecosystem has evolved, and yet how little has changed.
