COURSE HIGHLIGHTS - State of the art MR techniques for musculoskeletal, abdominal, cardiovascular, and breast imaging - Updates on some related topics such as PET-MRI, abdominal MRI protocols, cardiac MRI, and MR guided intervention for the prostate - MR imaging safety guidelines - Course format of 5 half-days allows for time to enjoy with friends and family This half-days, morning-sessions course is intended to give radiologists the opportunity to expand their knowledge about Body MRI. The course is intended to be primarily practical rather than theoretical in nature, and the faculty will be composed mostly of practicing radiologists. On completing the course, attendees should feel more comfortable implementing and interpreting some of these techniques in their practice. COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES Upon conclusion of this program, the participant should be able to: - Define the fundamental principles of advanced MRI techniques used in cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and musculoskeletal imaging - Analyze the latest advancements in MR imaging protocols for detecting and characterizing complex diseases, including ischemic heart disease, liver fibrosis, and prostate cancer - Examine the role of MRI in evaluating post-treatment changes and complications across multiple organ systems, including the liver, pelvis, and musculoskeletal system - Describe the impact of new MRI technologies, including AI-driven analysis, MR elastography, and imaging in patients with implanted devices, on clinical decision-making - Identify common pitfalls and challenges in body MRI interpretation, and apply strategies to improve diagnostic accuracy in routine and complex cases CREDIT 24.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits offered.
