Despite notable advances in management, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and its major clinical manifestations continue to be a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. In the United States alone, ASCVD remains the leading cause of death across most racial and ethnic populations and carries an estimated annual cost exceeding $200 billion, driven by health care service utilization, medications, and productivity losses. These significant human and economic costs are often attributable to gaps in the implementation of effective prevention strategies and the underutilization of available medications and lifestyle interventions to control ASCVD risk factors. The Scripps Cardiovascular Atherosclerosis conference is specifically designed to empower clinicians with the knowledge and tools necessary to enhance the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of ASCVD within their clinical practices. The conference also seeks to promote awareness of evidence-based lifestyle and dietary interventions, offering actionable insights to improve patient outcomes and reduce the overall burden of ASCVD. By addressing these challenges, this educational program will serve as a vital resource for health care providers committed to reducing the impact of ASCVD at both the individual and population levels. Time: 6:45 AM - 4:40 PM
