The objective of this course is to increase knowledge, and to bring together practice initiatives including treatment and coordination of care among radiation oncology advanced practice providers. Information discussed with all the advanced practice providers within the specialty regarding symptom management and care of patients undergoing radiation treatment. COURSE HIGHLIGHTS - Examine the expanding role of radiation therapy in treating benign conditions, highlighting emerging techniques and clinical considerations. - Identify key differences and decision-making factors in curative versus palliative radiation treatment approaches. - Explore evidence-based strategies to recognize and manage side effects in patients undergoing radiation therapy, enhancing patient comfort and improving outcomes. - Discover how core principles of radiobiology are integrated into clinical decision-making and treatment planning in radiation oncology Time: 7:00 am to 11:30 am
