13th International Conference on Antimicrobial Agents in Veterinary Medicine (AAVM) will be taking place on September 14-16, 2026 in Amersfoort, The Netherlands. This conference follows the resounding success of the previous twelve gatherings, held in cities worldwide. In light of the escalating global challenge of antimicrobial resistance, AAVM remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering responsible antimicrobial practices and pioneering innovative solutions. This 13th edition of the conference will comprehensively explore a diverse array of topics, including antimicrobial susceptibility and resistance, clinical use of antimicrobials, in vitro testing, alternatives to antimicrobials, diagnostics, the microbiome, PK/PD, and strategies for appropriate antimicrobial use. The conference will be chaired by Ronette Gehring. Professor of Veterinary Pharmacotherapy at Utrecht University a renowned expert in pharmacokinetics in Europe and Dr. Joseph Blondeau, Head of Clinical Microbiology at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Canada, a distinguished microbiologist with extensive expertise in clinical microbiology, infectious diseases, and antimicrobial resistance. AAVM is one of the leading meetings in its field, providing a very intensive program.
